So much fun!

Originally we intended to open our shop for three months, September thru November,
but we are having such fun and are being so well received we decided to be open through the
month of December.
Why not take advantage of the holiday shopping season?
Okay, a good part of our decision was the prospect of decorating the shop for the holidays.
Is it sad that decorating joy is equal to profits in our minds?
I think not.

With that said, please keep Serendipity 7 in mind for your holiday shopping needs.  We promise to feature one of a kind items that are totally artful, whimsical and unique.
Gifts that tell the receiver that some thought and love was put into their gift.

Here are some items we will be featuring this weekend at Serendipity 7.  Stop in Friday night and join us for New Glarus Brewery's "Serendipity" Ale...
we couldn't resist.

This vintage shelf is perfect for displaying pictures, artwork, books, a wine collection....

There are even little chalkboard labels for you to write whatever your heart desires!

We are loving this up cycled piece!
We imagine it hanging in a dining room showcasing your favorite wines.  The perfect holiday or wedding gift.  But it also could sit on a dresser and display picture books or photos...the possibilities are endless!

And this vintage, tripod lamp with that fab shade!
Jeni really outdid herself this time.  Just when you think she has to be tapped out creatively she comes up with something like this.

LOVE IT!

So come on in this weekend, have a seat in these sweet, up cycled chairs,
(don't you just love the chevron?), sip some Serendipity Ale and check out all the new, fabulous
items including new jewelry from Chris Callahan and items from Rekindled!

In between

At Serendipity 7 it is one of our intentions to make
each boutique weekend feel a little different in the shop!
Always inspired, always unique and one of a kind...

At Serendipity 7 there will always be something new and different!

As a result, in between our boutique weekends we are busy being full time Mom's with "the 7"
while also happily finding time to create new pieces to fill the shop!

We love to take a piece and give it a new life....
and this dresser below is a wonderful example of this!
It shall be known as the "So Fab" dresser.

We sold the first kaliedscope dresser at the last boutique sale....
but it was so much fun to paint and so great in the space that there had to be another.
"Kaliedoscope II"

Each and every piece takes on a life of its own...
This piece was saying "make me look like I sat on the beach for years"
This piece is so perfect for any casual space.

Here the sweetest little doll set!
Can't you just see it sitting my a Christmas tree?!
The youngest of the "7" thinks it may belong to one of her dolls.

We are creating pieces large and small....this upcycled lamp/table is beautifully unique.

And we just know someone out there is going to love this vintage stereo console....with record player and 8-track!   yes!   It is so fun and has been updated with a new paint.  We have had the radio going and just need to spin some records this weekend for our boutique hours!

I imagine this piece being loved by a music lover....someone who wants to embrace a piece of history, collect records and may even have a HD t.v. hanging above it with a modern charging station on top.  Something old becoming new again!

Our boutique hours this weekend:
October 12th 4-8 for cocktail hour....red neck margaritas!
October 13 10-5p.m.
Children are always welcome- we have a playroom!

Featured artist...Mary Hedeman

My favorite things in life are when a project, a dream or a relationship has a life of its own.  When you stop trying to control all the aspects of something and just trust it will lead you in the best possible direction.  Serendipity 7 has been the essence of that.

The creative juices keep flowing and Jeni and I don't do a lot of "planning," we just work on what moves us at the time and items to be up cycled just seem to appear...like magic.

Another thing that hasn't been planned, is this amazing collection of artists that have been a part of this journey.

Even though they work with different media and have styles all their own, the one common denominator of the artists of Serendipity 7 is the genuine love for the process of creating.
This couldn't be more true for our newest artist Mary Hedeman.

I love the joyful, whimsical quality of her work and when you meet her you can't help but notice the spirit and love she puts into her art.

With the holiday season coming up, I can't wait to make a few purchases of my own, it will be like giving my dear friends and family what I wish for them...joy, fun and the sense of comfort one feels when holding a well made mug of something warm on a cozy night.
