Change is Good

Like all things...in time change comes.

A part of us at Serendipity 7 feel very resistant to change because we are just so happy in our sweet brick and mortar shop.  It is sweet, beautiful and totally ours.  It is also for sale and we can't purchase it!  Hence...change!

So, in an effort to keep growing and expanding we are embracing CHANGE and have made a rather big decision! (drum roll...please)

Serendipity 7 is joining forces
with 3 other AMAZING local artists,
Suzanne Miller, Nikki Cooper, Nikki Saugstad
to create GREEN CHICKS!

There are several reasons we decided to go outside our comfort zone (and cute little shop), but mostly it is to grow as a business.   Between the 2 of us and the "7" children we can only manage to open our space for boutique weekends.  Being apart of Green Chics means we will be sharing the space and will be able to be open 6 days a week!  Green Chick's space is also on Monroe's Historic Square, which is a wonderful bonus!!  This is good...very good!!!  Change is good.  Our space with Green Chicks is going to be beautiful, inspired and filled with even more art and upcycled goodness!

Plus, how awesome is it to see  women artists coming together to support one another....to create something new and totally different together!!!

While we will miss our little shop... it was all ours, but we are equally excited about the possibilities of change, of going outside our comfort zone to be apart of Green Chicks!

Green Chicks new art studio/mini-gallery is located at
1606 11th Street, Suite 2
on the south side of the downtown square (above The Green Door).

Green Chicks  working art studio/mini gallery is now OPEN!!!Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm, Saturday 10am - 2 pm

Until the expanded gallery space is ready later this year you will still find
Serendipity 7 in our cute little brick house at 909 15th Ave.
Our next boutique weekend is right after Thanksgiving!
Friday Nov 23rd 4-8  & Nov 24th 10-5

Be sure to shop local on Black Friday!

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Okay, okay.  I know it is barely past Halloween and not even Thanksgiving yet but if you are thinking about decorating for the holiday season you have to have the items you need beforehand!  That is why Serendipity 7 has decided to stay open through December!

I am IN LOVE with this vintage Santa,
fabulous on a mantle or as a centerpiece on a holiday table.

Wondering what to put on your mantle this holiday season?  How about this JOY sign made from old, reclaimed garage door panels?  It would also look great on a wall and I would consider leaving it up the whole year round...who doesn't need a little more joy in their life?

So the tree is up, the house is looking festive and fabulous.
Onto the gifts...don't you have someone in your life that would like some hand knit, fingerless gloves?  I'm thinking favorite babysitter, teacher gift...(believe me, they have enough ornaments) or your hip sister-in-law.  They are perfect for driving and using your smartphone...though hopefully not at the same time.  We at Serendipity 7 want to promote safety first!

Imagine baby's first time on Santa's lap,
you know the one where the baby is screaming in terror?
You could display that classic moment in this adorable frame made from vintage Golden Books.

So check out Serendipity 7 this weekend in Monroe.  We have only 4 more open weekends until we close our doors on 15th Avenue.  So sad.  :(
